Investors in Pupils

We are delighted to tell you about a very special project that is being developed throughout school (Nursery to Year 2). The project is called Investors In Pupils (IIP for short) and is being lead by Mrs Alison Priest with the support of the entire school staff team, and most importantly, the children!

Investors In Pupils is an award that is presented to schools that show they are doing their utmost to involve children in the day to day running of the school. The project looks for evidence in the following areas:–

attendance

learning

finance

listening to the ideas that children offer

making newcomers welcome

All of these aspects are currently being developed throughout school, the aim is to reward our marvellous school for the success that is already in place.

The children have been introduced to the project and have started work towards the award. They are very keen for Stocksbridge Nursery Infant School to succeed!

To keep everyone informed about the project’s progress Mrs Priest has prepared a display in the hall. This will change as new work is completed, as will this web page we have dedicated to the project! So, watch that space!

We all very much hope that this project will further develop our children’s confidence and life skills, providing them with greater choice now and through to their adult lives.

If you wish to find out more please pop in to see Mrs Priest, who will be happy to answer any questions!

This half term our children are going for goals in reading. Each class has voted for their reward. To find out more have a look at your childs classroom display.

Mrs Townsend has recently sent out a very interesting letter about this. If you haven't seen it yet it is worth getting hold of a copy.
