Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall..........Year 1 used this well known nursery rhyme to kick start their topic on 'Construction'. All 3 classes spent the morning in the playground building walls out of plastic bricks, wooden blocks, play dough, sugar cubes, lego, duplo and much more. We tested whether the walls were strong enough for Humpty Dumpty to sit on by either scooting into them or ploughing a car into them. Many walls withheld the force........
